Shaping the Future — My Role in Unveiling Gen Y and Z's Impact on Business and Society

Each generation has its own tale, its own rhythm, and its distinct footprint on the canvas of time. Generation X, those born between 1965 and 1981, forged pathways, often in defiance of tradition, making them the trailblazers of change. The Millennials or Generation Y, hailing from 1982 to 1994, carried forward the torch with a unique blend of optimism and skepticism. And then, as the tides of time rolled on, came Generation Z. Born between 1995 and 2010, they've seamlessly woven technology into the very fabric of their existence, reshaping norms with an almost instinctual flair.

For anyone invested in the future - be it marketers, educators, leaders, or simply those with an insatiable curiosity - understanding the nuances of Generations X, Y, and Z isn't just advantageous. It's essential. The world's narrative is in flux, and these generations are the authors.

“The Youth Rise In Power" - Let's Break It Down

2022 was a massive year for me. I got my hands filled with this insightful documentary, "The Youth Rise In Power." Freshworks, AWS Marketplace, and the London School of Economics all came together to collaborate on the project? The list of contributors is extensive. I highly recommend exploring the credits to appreciate their involvement.

Throughout our journey we travelled across continents including the U.S., UK and Europe. What did we uncover? Generations Y and Z are more than observers. They actively participate and influence societal norms reshaping them in the process. We had the privilege of showcasing this evolution through a premiere at 'The Cinema at Selfridges’ in London.

What's the Story? Three Explosive Episodes

  1. "The FOMO Reaction" delves into how Generations Y and Z's are transforming paradigms as both consumers and future members of the workforce.

  2. "The Contagion Effect" highlights their unprecedented influence on shaping societal norms and business operations.

  3. "Adapt or die" - challenges businesses to evolve in accordance with the expectations of these generations to ensure engagement as they transition into roles, as customers, employees, and leaders.

A Global Perspective for a Global Audience

Dr. Alexander Grous has played a role in enhancing the depth of our documentary. His expertise encompasses Digitalization, Connectivity and Cohort Behaviour. Through his research he has laid the groundwork for the narrative of our documentary.

It is evident that the younger generations are not spectators. They are actively shaping both the present and future. If you seek insights into brand engagement, workplace dynamics or the digital landscape this documentary is a must watch.

However it goes beyond being a film. It serves as a call for reflection and action, on a scale not limited to Europe alone. It encourages introspection and dialogue. We find ourselves at the threshold of an era marked by transformation driven by these generations. Now is the opportune moment to immerse oneself in understanding and engaging with these changes.
